PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
- Be a current customer with TXU. Not a customer? Shop plans.
- Have central air condition or a heat pump.
- Be the account holder.
- Have an eligible smart thermostat connected to Wi-Fi.
- By enrolling in this program, you are signifying your agreement to the Connected Savings® program.

HOW DO I OPT OUT?
To completely remove your thermostat(s) from the program, please reach out to us at customerconservation@vistracorp.com. We'll unenroll you from the program within 5-10 business days.
PROGRAM FAQS
Your thermostat will adjust by only a few degrees during conservation events. You’ll always have the power to change your thermostat manually and through your thermostat’s app at any time.
Your thermostat will only join an event when there’s a need for more electricity, and it’ll do so automatically, so there’s no action needed from you. It’ll return to the temperature you set once the event is over.
You’ll see a message displayed on your thermostat and in your app.
Yes. You can opt out by changing the temperature on your thermostat or in the app.
You’ll conserve energy, which is good for your electricity bill and the grid. Plus, you’ll earn a $50 reward just for enrolling.
Yes. You’ll be asked to authorize Resideo’s access to your energy usage data on a secure and confidential basis, and only for purpose of enrollment and participation. If you have questions about how the program accesses your data, you can reach out to energysupport@resideo.com.
Extreme temperatures and higher electricity usage can cause incremental stress on the grid. Demand Response events help conserve electricity during those times.
Conserving energy helps reduce strain on the grid and can even lower your bill. Plus, the more electricity you can conserve during high usage times, the further renewable energy goes on the grid.
The Connected Savings program optimizes your thermostat settings to keep you comfortable during conservation events. It may precool or preheat your home in advance of an event to balance the amount of energy used while keeping you as comfortable as possible.
You’ll receive your $50 reward card in the mail with instructions to activate it. It may take up to 4 weeks to reach you.
You can connect as many qualifying smart thermostats as are installed in your home. You’ll only be eligible to receive one $50 reward per household, but the more thermostats you sign up, the more energy you’ll conserve.
Yes. We rely on the ability to communicate with your thermostat to successfully run the program. While we understand that there may be temporary Wi-Fi outages, connectivity is a program requirement. Your enrollment may not be complete if your thermostat doesn’t successfully connect.
+To qualify for the one-time $50 reward, you must enroll an eligible smart thermostat at your TXU Energy service address in the Connected Conservation program. Reward is fulfilled with a prepaid Mastercard®, subject to terms and conditions of card issuer. TXU Energy reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute a check of equal value for the prepaid card, and to otherwise modify or cancel the program at any time.
